What does Groupe OPERA do?
Groupe OPERA works with entrepreneurs, executives and expatriates, mainly French-speaking, who want part of their wealth to work beyond their home country. Five solutions: Dubai real estate, real estate club deals in Florida and Dubai, private equity, structured products and art. Everything starts with a wealth diagnosis.
Our method has three stages:
- Understand: your family, your tax position, your horizon, how much risk you are prepared to take, where your money comes from and where you want it to go.
- Build: a consistent allocation across markets, in coordination with your notary, accountant and banker. We do not replace them: we get them working together.
- Follow up: adjust the strategy over time, at every important stage of your life.
What you will not find with us: promises of quick or guaranteed gains, off-the-shelf solutions, faceless advice.
Is Groupe OPERA regulated? What is its status?
Groupe OPERA is a brand of AMIRAL CONSULTING FZCO, a free zone company holding commercial licence no. 53192, issued by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (IFZA, Dubai Silicon Oasis), for the activities "Commercial Brokers" and "Management Consultancies". It is not authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), and it is not a credit institution, an asset management company or an investment firm.
In practice:
- Dubai real estate: transactions are carried out with a partner broker registered with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Agency) and holding the professional card. Groupe OPERA does not itself hold a RERA card.
- Financial products (structured products, private equity): they are issued or distributed by financial partners established in their own jurisdiction and subject to their own regulation.
- Club deals: Groupe OPERA organises the fundraising and supports investors; property selection, works and resale are handled by operating partners on the ground.

How is Groupe OPERA paid?
Groupe OPERA is paid through commissions, whose source depends on the solution. For club deals and off-plan purchases in Dubai, our fee is not added to what the investor pays: it comes out of the project sponsors' share or the developer's sales budget. On the Dubai resale market, we receive part of the standard agency fees, through our RERA-registered partner broker. For structured products and private equity, we receive a placement commission of 0.5% to 2% of the amounts raised.
| Solution | Who pays us | Impact for the investor |
|---|---|---|
| Club deals (Florida, Dubai) | Commission taken, depending on the operation, from the profit share of the project sponsors | No extra cost: it does not reduce the investors' share |
| Off-plan in Dubai | Commission paid by the developer, out of its sales budget | No extra cost: the price is the same as buying directly from the developer |
| Dubai resale market | Standard Dubai agency fees: 2% paid by the buyer and 2% by the seller, through our RERA partner broker | These are standard market fees, which you would pay with any agency. They are invoiced by our RERA partner broker; Groupe OPERA is paid out of these fees: 2% if it acts for one party, 4% if it acts for both |
| Structured products, private equity | Placement commission of 0.5% to 2% of the amounts raised, paid by the partner issuer or manager | The exact amount and how it fits into the product's costs are set out in the documentation provided before any investment |
| Art | Case-by-case retrocession of part of the partner art broker's commission | No extra cost: it is deducted from the broker's share |
For each solution, how we are paid is presented to you in writing before any commitment.
How do you choose a wealth manager in Dubai?
Check their legal identity and licence, what they are authorised to do (and what they are not), how they are paid, whether they work with regulated partners for each type of investment, and whether they start by understanding your situation rather than pitching a product. Be wary of promised returns.
- Licence: company name, number, issuing authority, authorised activities. All of it should be verifiable.
- Regulation: in Dubai, financial investment advice from the DIFC falls under the DFSA; elsewhere in the UAE, other authorities apply. Real estate falls under RERA. Ask who holds each authorisation.
- Fees: ask for them in writing, solution by solution.
- Method: a good adviser asks questions before proposing anything.
What is the difference between a wealth manager, a financial adviser and a broker in Dubai?
A wealth manager builds an overall strategy based on your situation. A regulated financial adviser recommends financial instruments within the scope of their authorisation. A broker brings a buyer and a seller together, for example in real estate, and must then be registered with the relevant authority (RERA for Dubai real estate). A firm can combine these roles with partners.
Groupe OPERA positions itself as a wealth architect: it designs the strategy and, for each solution, coordinates the partners authorised to carry it out.
What does a first meeting with Groupe OPERA look like?
A first conversation lasts about fifteen minutes, by video call or over coffee in Dubai. It is about understanding your situation and goals, and seeing whether our solutions make sense for you. There is nothing to sell at this first meeting.
